    How to use

    1. Choose how many dice to roll, from 1 to 20.
    2. Pick the die type: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 or d100.
    3. Press Roll or the space bar. Each die and the total appear below, with your last few rolls listed underneath.

    How it works

Every roll uses crypto.getRandomValues, the same random source browsers use for security keys, so results cannot be predicted.

A 32-bit random number is turned into a die face with the remainder after division. Values from the uneven top end of the range are thrown away and redrawn, so every face has exactly the same chance.

The total is the plain sum of the dice. The lowest possible total equals the number of dice and the highest equals dice × sides.

    FAQ

    Is this dice roller fair?

Yes. Each face of a die has an equal probability, and no roll depends on the one before it.

    How do I roll 2d6 or 4d8?

The first number is the dice count and the second is the die type. For 2d6 set the count to 2 and pick d6.

    What is a d100 roll?

A d100 gives a number from 1 to 100, often used for percentile checks in tabletop games.
